      Screen producing alot of red

      Hi everyone,

I have a 25" screen in a Simpsons cab that seems to produce a picture with a lot of red in it and I've tried to back off the red gain which hasn't helped.
Here's a pic of what it looks like:

      Monitor.jpg

Although the surrounding edge of the image is orange anyway, the excess red is evidenced by pink whites, very bright reds, purple blues etc.

The screen has a blue label on the back that says "Videocolor" and what appears to be a model number. Not sure if that's the brand or something else.
The chassis is a Glendale GE-728HR.

So, is the monitor tired and in need of replacing or is the chassis on its way out. Is there an adjustment I can do to fix that?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

you may be missing the green signal. check your video harness first for loose wires or bad connnections.

yeah it definitely needs degaussing after being moved, but the picture is dead flat, all three colours are there, but wound right up,the rgb emissions are very low, they came up a little bit after several attempts, but at the end of the day the tube is a bin job,it's ok to play, but as a resto the monitor requires replacing.

Tried the degaussing button inside but didn't help. Haven't had anyone come round with a wand yet. As Gary stated, he tried rejuvenating it three times and it seems to have had it. If I can get away with not having to replace it, that would be great, but not too fussed if it has to be.

happy to lend you my degaussing wand if you want to pick it up and drop back, very easy to use, should get the picture back to how you first saw it,will make it somewhat better at least for now.
i will keep an eye out for a good used 26'' tube for you,
