am yet to find a yellow LED that I like, best to use clears for yellow inserts. IMO clear leds for all inserts is the most natural, they allow the insert to be seen as it was intended. When you use colored leds, you are changing the color of the insert. This can be over-powering IMO, and can make your pin look like a table covered in jelly beans.

Hey HP,

Any future plans to get some cheap #44 or other bayonet style globes?
There are heaps in the market but its so confusing and would be good to get some good value for money ones that actually work well and have been tested by AA members.

More more thing. Is there a way to remove the ghosting of these LEDS or is this just a side effect? I can live with it if this is just how it is.

RTBB sell #44 leds for 50 cents each, ghosting is a tricky one, but have a look at this for WPC http://emmytech.com/arcade/led_ghost_busting/ No ghost leds are available from RTBB I think as well.

Cool. Now all I need is someone to write software to update the Bally roms to eliminate the ghosting.
Will have a loot at RTBB and grab a bunch of LEDS from them.

silly me, i thought this was homepins section .... oops, it is i thought i had stumbled onto rtbb's section

when i first put leds in, i was concerned about the ghosting. ive read why it happens and understand it and i thought first, wow a great change and then some inserts more than others really caught my eye and i was thinking of going back to globes on some of them but ive grown used to them and must have pretty quickly as i havent thought about it since (several months?) and another guy ove mentioned it to said it annoyed him a bit but hasnt thought about it for ages.

I don't have a problem at all referring to RTTB

I have no plans to do 44's

Thanks Mike for the great LEDs! i finally got around to making them up and finished adding the white LEDs into my getaway backbox lastnight, very happy with the results!
