i would jump at the opportunity to see a thread devoted to this by you for all of us to see and have you explain it all to us
im yet to see any forums on pinballs/arcade machines have a thread like this

In response to this request I have started a thread where I can proceed to bore most of you with my Chinese exploits. For those who may not know I have a small office and factory/workshop in China and I employ Chinese staff. Last year was a bit tough and I have downsized things a bit but so far this year things are looking UP!
I will try to find pics of mostly arcade factories/suppliers but if interesting I will put up pics of general manufacturing or maybe even just 'things of interest' full stop!
Anyway here is the first installment:
About 5 years ago I was starting to ship quite a few containers for various customers and it seemed like a good idea to rent a small place where gear could be delivered from various suppliers and then loaded into a container. Here is a pic of the place on key handover day with my Chinese secretary, myself and the landlord (a great bloke).
The shop has a fantastic area right out the front to back up a truck for container loading - my place is on the end - far right
OK - so now I had a place, time to get serious and crank things up. First my mate came over from ShenZhen and helped me build a workbench and we painted the floor.
Then I started to get some goods delivered. This pic shows some desktop laser machines and wide format printers stacked up waiting for enough stuff to fill a container. You can see on the right of the pic two frames for Time Crisis 3 waiting for shipment to a customer (in bubblewrap)
Here is us after we finished loading a container - trucks can't come into the city until after 7pm so at least we could load in the cool of the tropical night! It was about 35 degrees when this pic was taken at 9pm at night! Lucky I live in Cairns and I'm used to the tropics.
Probably enough boring stuff about my place but I wanted readers to realise how I operate. Generally I do business with smaller 'mum & dad' type businesses and I am able to order smaller quantities. By collecting all the gear at my own place I can keep it until I have enough to fill a container and this saves a lot on freight.
Next installment I'll get into some factories and even some pics of a radio control model aeroplane factory!
I'll leave you with one place I saw at a trade show - I was hesitant to buy from them!
