i have 2 i've been using for a couple weeks now, they work great! easy hook up, you will need your own usb cable and wires/connectors though.

I even promoted this to the home page hoping it would get some attention. If I see any deals or promotions from sponsors I'll whack them up there from now on

Looks like a handy bit of kit for someone wanting to make their own stick or hack up their favourite controller to work on all consoles.

I just bought one of these boards, how do I connect it to a 360 or PS3, can I buy a ready made cable or do I have to hack one myself? Any help would be great, thanks.

There is usb output so presumably a standard usb cable from the board to your pc/mac/360/ps3 will work out of the box once you have wired up whatever controller you are planning to use.

Are u connecting it to a cabinet?
I have all my stuff soldered so cant help you out with which socket you will be using but pretty sure its either RJ45 to USB or Printer to USB, both should be cheap and easy to find

Got someone that should be doing an install tut into a TE Stick which im hoping to have up later next week, cabs shouldnt be any different so hopefully will come in handy.

Looks like an awesome piece of kit. I don't own any Sony gaming consoles (personal hate against their company ), but the 360 and PC section look right up my alley. I was thinking about putting my elderly 360 into a cabinet, or even a tabletop joystick. If only it were Xbox 1 compatible too! Man, I have about 7 of those rigs modded throughout my house and one in the car for the kids to play....Time to read up about the "converters".

The external LED connector looks very similar to the 4Cell LiPo balance charge connectors (I fly model planes too).

      Hi all,

Here is my review of the PS360+ that Jason has kindly sent to me from in2amusements.

The PS360+ is the follow up to the extremely popular PS360. It is a PCB that allows arcade controls to be used on PS3 (with PS2 backwards compatibility), PSx, Xbox 360, PC and Mac. It really is an all in one solution.

Much research and development has gone into making this product and you can easily see this when you look at the device. During the unboxing, the first thing you will notice is the extremely solid packaging. It comes in a branded cardboard box and inside is the PS360+ tightly wrapped in an anti-static bubble bag. You have to be quite forceful to get it out and this really ensures it arrives to your door undamaged. Check out the unboxing gallery on the manufacturer’s website here (scroll to bottom).

Once you look at the PCB, you will immediately notice all the hook-up options. They are insane! The thing that struck me was that there were so many options for simple to advanced users. There are even options to solder on your own gear! Now is a good time to link the PDF’s for the product:

Hardware overview (direct link to PDF hosted on in2amusement’s website)
Software overview (direct link to PDF hosted on in2amusement’s website)

I couldn’t wait to get started, so I found a joystick setup and started connecting the buttons and joystick. I went the simple route and used the screw downs on the PCB. The wiring diagram in the hardware overview makes things simple as they have it for each system.

      Attachment 41263

      Attachment 41264

Here you can see all the buttons connected up to the PCB. I used the USB cable to connect it to my consoles and PC. There is also an RJ-45 port on the device that can be used instead of USB. I assume this is for consoles that don’t support USB or if you have an RJ-45 to console (e.g. RJ-45 to PSx) cable.

Once plugged in, the device works perfectly as expected. It didn’t require any setting up, just make the hardware connections and that’s it. The buttons were responsive and you notice no lag. I really enjoyed the new found control using an arcade stick when playing Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on PS3. The only gripe I have is that you can’t start the PS3 remotely with the joystick. I think this will be fixed with a future firmware update.

The PS360+ receives regular firmware updates to fix bugs and to add functionality. It is a really well supported product. There are many other functions available such as:

      • audio connectors for easy headphone connection
      • LED hookups
      • RJ-45 alternative hookup
      • Alternative solder points for RJ-45 and buttons

As you can see, there are going to be many add-ons and hacks that come out for this device.

I also tried the PS360+ on my Xbox 360 and it worked flawlessly. I was playing Super Streetfighter IV for quite some time. It worked so well that I am going to put this in a dedicated cabinet with an Xbox 360 inside.

I also have another MAME cabinet with an iPac controller connected. I disconnected the iPac and tried out the PS360+. It worked exactly the same and I did not have any issues (pics to come).

Summing up, this product is amazing and will appeal to all users that would like to use their arcade controls on multiple platforms. I cannot see any faults with this product other than that you need to purchase two PS360+’s if you want to have two players. It would be nice to have them on the one PCB (simplicity and price). This is a minor gripe and is easily outweighed by the simple plug and play nature of the device – it just works!

      Overall 9.5/10

Hey Hathro, thanks for posting the review! I have been interested to see an independent review and it sounds pretty good. My main question is when you have disconnected and reconnected between the different systems, has the controls remained the same? IE in fighters are low,med and high punch/kick the same without changing anything?
      Great review mate, well done.

      Hi GENERALGOSH,

The buttons are hard coded out of the box to the wiring diagram. There is an auto-detection for the system you are using so it will automatically know which button is which.

It depends on how you have it set up for that specific game e.g. one of the buttons is 1K/X/A (PC, PS3, Xbox 360). So if you plug it into a PS3, the button will be X and if you plug it into and Xbox 360, it will be A.

If you check on page 11 of the hardware overview posted above, it explains it in there

Sorry im a little late to the party, my installer was having some troubles accessing the install PDF

I was also lucky enough to snag myself a PS360. Glad I did, fantastic piece of kit. My review will be far less in depth as unfortunately I didnt install mine.
Looking at the Hardware Overview link that hathro posted it wouldnt be hard for even a n00b like me to install, but alas, my PS360+ was replacing a CHIMP board
so there was some stuffing around to be had.

My PS360+ is installed into a Madcatz X360 TE Joystick, although the PS360+ PCB replaces the X360 PCB entirely, adding PS3 & PC support at the same.

My first target was my standard Xbox 360, plugging it in and slamming away tirelessly for around 30 of the the last 48 hours. Plugging the stick into
a sleeping X360 it still is capable of turning on the system. My game of choice was SSF4, as I wanted to test if it had any lag.
Im extremely happy to say its identical to the standard TE, no input delay whatsoever, not a single frame.
Testing it with 1-frame links, to my amazement I had a slightly higher success rate than I did with my standard TE!
Another good thing with the X360 is you can still retain the standard headset, which works a treat.

I thought id quickly test it out with my PC next, I dont actually have any games on my PC, its so old and krusty and I prefer console FBA as an emu.
I thought it would be good though to see how easy it would be to setup in Windows, as im a total n00b. Running Win 7 64bit I plugged it into the USB port.
DING! Device found. DING! Device driver successfully installed. All before I could even sit down from sticking the USB in the rear port!!
In Control Panel's Devices section it recognizes the PS360+ USB as working fine and even allows an input test, obviously all inputs passed the test.
It even seemed to have more buttons than what my actual joystick has, so thats an added bonus I suppose?
TBH I wasnt looking forward to this part because I thought id be stuffing around installing drivers and what not, but it was as smooth as could be. I was very impressed!
Plus I thought having a 64bit platform wouldnt help either. Glad I was wrong.

Next up, I had to throw it in my JTAG X360 and give it a good hiding with the FBA Next emulator.
Running all types of arcade systems CPS1-2-3, NeoGeo, Psyiko, Konami, etc... it didnt skip a beat in the 5 or so hours I stuck into it!
Like hathro, I will also be grabbing another 2 of these and doing an X360 cabinet project in the future, its why I got my JTAG, now I have the perfect controls for it!

Last but not least, the PS3. Thought id switch it up for this one and play some KOF XIII. Once again, as with the other platforms it worked perfectly.
The only problem, as hathro stated, it wont power on the PS3. Also seemed to give me less troubles accessing the HOME menu while ingame than the chimp board.
With both consoles I was a little worried, as their dashboards may have required a left analogue input to control,
but the PS360+ navigates both X360 & PS3 dashboards no problem.

Im going to be giving this a 9/10
It loses .5 points because it didnt power on the PS3, yes I know thats extremely fussy of me.
It also loses another .5 points because they could have simply made the installation into a Madcatz TE stick easier by using the madcatz connectors instead of their own.
Im being mega critical here though and I suppose if your using this to build your own MAME cab or a standalone joystick then its a definite 10/10. There is no other choice. Simple!

Saving up for 2 more now. Cheers in2amusements!!!

As promised above, here are the pics of the PS360+ in my cabinet.

I'm running two controllers. One was supposed to work for two players but is unreliable so I'm using that for player 1 and the PS360+ for player 2. I've been running it for a while and it gets hammered. Hasn't missed a beat!
